We want to tell you about the next step in the evolution of our authentication system.
Starting August 1, 2026, Passkey will become your only method of access to Control Center™, fully replacing traditional two-factor authentication (2FA) based on SMS codes or authenticator apps.
We announced this change in our post "Passwords Are Dead. Welcome to the Passkey Era" on 05/06/2026, where we explained why Passkey offers superior protection against phishing and why the entire industry is moving toward this standard.
What does this mean for you?
If you haven't set up your Passkey yet, you'll need to do so before August 1, 2026 to avoid any interruption in accessing your account.
How to set up your Passkey?
- Log in to your Control Center™.
- Go to Security Settings and disable two-step verification.
- Click the activate button, select Passkey, and register your device (using fingerprint, facial recognition, or PIN).
The process takes just a few seconds and doesn't require installing any additional app.
Starting on the date above, 2FA codes will no longer be a valid method of access.
